What is it?
The mcs player is coupled with your own online users account. Together they provide a simple and easy to use system to create and view multimedia Projects for Smart Phones or PDA devices.
How it works
Users subscribe to Projects through their online account. The Projects are then downloaded to the user’s device by the mcs player. Once downloaded Projects can be viewed at anytime on or off line.
The mcs player supports many popular formates:
- HTML, Flash
- Mp3, WMA, mpeg4, avi, wav
- gif, jpg
The mcs player features include:
- Image viewer for zooming and panning hi-resolution images on small screens
- Video and audio playback in part or full screen
- Built in project navigation allows users to easily navigate through project pages and assets
- Split screen assets viewer for fast access to individual content files
- Project synchronisation insures content is always up to date
- Capability to extend player with custom .net application modules
Add-on modules:
Assessment builder (Currently these modules are only available through the i-learn development team for more information please contact info@learn.net.au)
Online account management
Through the online account management system you can access a full range of tools to help you manage all aspects of your project subscriptions, development and distribution features include:
- Drag and drop functionality to build and manage a projects structure. Projects are similar to web sites they may contain many different types of content, but unlike websites not all assets need to be embedded within a HTML document.
- Document upload and management facility to store and organise project assets into directories
- Project search facility provides keyword and unique project key options to locate projects of interest
- Users can administer who accesses their projects and the projects they are subscribed to
- HTML editor allows you to create customised project pages, assets can be linked within project pages to crate compelling multimedia projects.
Custom modules
Assessment builder module provides drag and drop functionality to build and manage an assessment structure and questions true/false, multiple choice and short response.
Getting started
To get started all you need is an online account once setup you can subscribe to other user’s projects and start creating your own. Video tutorials are available from the “MyAccount” page once logged in.
So what is it good for?
New uses are being created all the time but some of the uses which the system has already been used for include:
- Multimedia guided tours incorporating written information and audio visual content, images and animation.
- Vocational training packages where workers in remote locations can use small portable devices to complete work place training modules
- Store and organise and share all you music online, your device will update while you sleep
- Information Pack for trade shows and seminars, visitors can subscribe to the projects containing promotional videos audio and product information via a unique code obtained from your booth and download the required assets from a wireless connection.
- Advertising platform and easy to use system to present infomercial type material to prospective users
- Personal music player access and manage your music library, your device will always be up to date.
Custom business applications
The mcs player has been design to be a flexible synchronisation system. This means our development team can rapidly develop custom applications which extend the current mcs player. For more information contact our development team at info@learn.net.au.
